Totara dining table

A table centuries in the making and now up for sale. Introducing my latest table build crafted from an exceptionally old Native Totara slab cut from a salvaged tree that was approximately 600-700 years old when it fell. This beautiful peice of timber has plenty of natural holes, cracks and voids that are a testament to its age, these have been carefully filled with a transparent black epoxy resin to preserve and highlight its character and give a smooth surface to the table top. To allow this Totara slab table to last for many more years to come and give maximum protection to the timber it has first been coated with a top quality table top epoxy resin which gives a tough impact resistant layer and finish coated with a durable silky smooth satin 2k polyurethane spray. The table base has been handcrafted from Totara timber that has been mounted to a solid 12mm thick satin black aluminum base plate for excellent stability, this custom design also allows you to be seat upto 8 people anywhere around the table without the interference from table legs.
